oAssets

oAssets are on-chain payment intermediaries on Ouroboros backed by cryptocurrency collaterals. Each oAsset is minted at a 1:1 ratio against a supported underlying and can be redeemed back to collaterals.

• Various Collateral Types: Our oAssets Module is designed to accept virtually any ERC-20 token as collateral. In practice, we will begin by supporting major dollar-pegged stablecoins (e.g., USDT)

• Zero-Fee Minting: Once collateral is deposited to the mint contract, our oAssets Module mints an equal number of oAssets to the minting address—without charging a minting fee.

• 1:1 Redemption with Fee: Holders of oAssets can redeem them for the underlying collateral at any time. Upon redemption, the oAssets are burned, and the module releases an equivalent amount of collaterals—minus a configurable redemption fee.
